About Us

Jeremy Schmidt, Head Coach: Jeremy has playing experience at nearly every level. After graduating from Sarasota High School in 1999, the right-handed pitcher attended State College of Florida for a year. In 2000, Jeremy was drafted by the Giants in the 37th round, but decided not to sign. After attending College of Charleston, Jeremy signed as a free agent with the Giants and in five years with the Giants and Reds organizations, Jeremy advanced as high as the AA Southern League. In 2008, Jeremy joined Cardinal Mooney, first as its junior varsity head coach and then as an assistant on the varsity squad. In 2012, Jeremy was appointed as Booker High School Head Coach and after winning 21 games and taking Booker to the regional final, Jeremy was named HTPreps Coach of the Year in 2016. Jeremy stepped down after four seasons as coach of the Tornadoes and served as the pitching coach for Lakewood Ranch High School before being appointed the Head Coach of the Riverview Rams.
